One of the main activities of Cantonese in the evening (like the Chinese in general) is to meet friends over a good meal.

The climate of Canton allows alfresco dining throughout most of the year. Restaurants located along some streets of Canton are open 24h/24 and offer a large variety of dim sum, noodles, rice noodles, stuffed buns, dumplings at ridiculous prices: the streets Erma read Guangda read, read Qingping , Guigang Hongde read and read.

On the north bank of the Pearl River restaurants xigong the street (as Haiyin bridge), a row of outdoor terraces, are one of the best places to eat seafood in Asia.
